Dear Engaged Couples,
In a previous blog, https://www.weddingpreacherforhire.com/?s=April+weddings
I wrote about how dicey it is to wed outside in the elements in April. I stand by that. The weather is just too “iffy.” Not only do you have to worry about the winds of March sticking around past their assigned month, we all know that April showers is a truism. Finally, April can be chilly if not downright cold. Do you really want your bridesmaids (not to mention the bride) shivering under sheer, spaghetti-strap gowns?
HOWEVER, earlier this month I officiated at a wedding at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Henrico County, just outside Richmond, Virginia. https://www.lewisginter.org/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwqv2_BhC0ARIsAFb5Ac9T9AnqJtOTUtx_cF6XMPV-MSbbhRwSj8BwHjpTA8MiNmgkdnVZjKQaAmcEEALw_
The massive gardens there were more than just lovely. I ran to the thesaurus, in fact, to find a word that describes that day: gorgeous, exquisite, enchanting were the adjectives that come closest, I think. The colors of the flowers in bloom that day, and the temperature, too, cooperated to make this a very special day for the bride, groom, and the guests.
The bride was a showstopper, too, which added to the enchantment of the experience.
This is one time when a picture has to say what words cannot.
Enjoy the pics and reconsider your wedding date, if you dare!
Happy wedding planning!
